Forged steel check valves use the flow of the medium to automatically open and close the valve disc. These valves, also known as check valves, one-way valves, reverse flow valves, or back pressure valves, prevent reverse flow of the medium. The body guide maintains proper alignment between the seat and the disc. When the valve closes, flow pressure lifts the disc off the seat, allowing fluid to pass through.
