Opening Process of Fully Welded Ball Valve:

  1. Closed Position: In the closed position, the ball is securely pressed against the valve seat by the mechanical pressure of the valve stem.

  2. Counterclockwise Turn: Turning the handwheel counterclockwise causes the valve rod to move oppositely, allowing the ball to disengage from the valve seat.

  3. Smooth Rotation: As the valve rod continues to lift, it engages with the guide pin in the spiral groove, enabling the ball to rotate without friction.

  4. Fully Open Position: Reaching the fully open position involves lifting the valve rod to its limit, with the ball rotating to achieve a fully open state.
     

Closing Process of Fully Welded Ball Valve:

  1. Clockwise Rotation: To close, rotate the handwheel clockwise, causing the valve stem to descend, initiating ball rotation.

  2. 90° Rotation: Continued rotation results in the valve rod and ball simultaneously rotating 90° due to the guide pin in the spiral groove.

  3. Mechanical Wedging: After a few turns, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges the ball, tightly pressing it onto the valve seat for complete sealing.

  4. Final 90° Rotation: Just before closing, the ball completes a 90° rotation without contacting the valve seat.
     

Installation Direction of Fully Welded Ball Valve:

  1. Fully welded ball valves are inherently directionless, and while there is usually no surface marking indicating a specific direction, it is recommended to align the valve body and material direction during installation to prevent excessive leakage.

  2. Pressure testing is crucial before installation to ensure the valve's tightness.


Installation Guidelines:

  1. Lift the fully welded ball valve correctly, avoiding tying the lifting chain to the handwheel, gearbox, or actuator to protect the valve stem.

  2. Retain the protective caps at both ends of the valve sleeve before welding.

  3. For buried fully welded ball valves, typically used in construction and fire protection, strict installation practices are vital due to high-pressure operation. Conduct thorough pressure testing before installation to validate equipment operability.
