Installation and Configuration of Electric Ball Valve Controller

The installation and adjustment of an electric ball valve controller are crucial steps that require careful attention to ensure proper functionality. Here are key points to consider:

1. Physical Installation:

  • Install and secure the purchased model and specifications according to the provided diagram.

  • Ensure the ground terminal on the rear panel is reliably grounded.

2. Electrical Connections:

  • Match the circuit diagram numbers of the controller with those of the electric device.

  • Use cables to connect the controller and electric device following the same terminal numbers.
  • If on-site control is not needed, terminals 12, 13, and 14 may remain unconnected.
  • In automatic control systems, use terminals 12, 13, and 14 as input terminals for signals such as "automatic opening" and "automatic closing."

3. Power On and Remote Control:

  • Press the power button, the power indicator light should illuminate.

  • If on-site remote control is desired, point the on-site remote control switch accordingly, and the remote control indicator light should illuminate.

4. Rotation Direction Verification:

  • Open the ball valve to 50% using the handwheel.

  • Press the valve open or close button and ensure the electric valve rotates in the direction corresponding to the button pressed.
  • If not, press the stop button immediately and cut off the three-phase power supply. Exchange any two phases in the three-phase power supply.

5. Indicator Lights and Emergency Stop:

  • Press the valve open or close button; when fully open or closed, the corresponding indicator light on the front panel should illuminate.

  • During an emergency stop, short-circuit terminals No. 4 and No. 7; the emergency light on the front panel will activate.

6. Adjustment Potentiometer:

  • When the electric ball valve is fully open, adjust the potentiometer on the front panel to display 100% on the opening meter.

7. On-Site Remote Control:

  • Point the on-site remote control switch as needed.

  • Short-circuit terminals 12 and 13 for the valve to run in the open direction (jog state).
  • Short-circuit terminals 12 and 14 for the valve to run in the closed direction (jog state).

8. Fuse Replacement:

  • The fuse on the rear panel is 5×20, 1A. Ensure proper replacement if needed.

Electric Valve Function Requirements:

  • Electric valves aim to achieve non-manual electrical or computer control for opening, closing, and adjustment.

  • The selection of electric devices and valves is critical for meeting project control requirements and achieving optimal performance.

By following these steps, the electric ball valve controller can be successfully installed, configured, and aligned with specific control needs.
