Installation and Operation Guide for Electric Butterfly Valve Control Box

The electric butterfly valve control box is widely utilized in AC 50HZ systems with a voltage below 380V for controlling various equipment such as fire water pumps, submersible sewage pumps, fire fans, general fans, and lighting distribution. To ensure the proper functioning of the equipment, follow the standard installation and operation process outlined below:

Installation Process:

  1. Mechanical Part Debugging: Ensure that the mechanical part of the electric equipment has been properly debugged and can operate normally. Refer to the relevant operating instructions for the commissioning of the mechanical part.

  2. Fixing the Control Box: Securely fix the purchased electric butterfly valve control box according to the provided diagram.

  3. Electrical Connections: Connect the control box terminals and the terminals of the electric equipment using cables as per the electrical schematic diagram provided. Connect the input control current to terminals No. 10 and No. 11, with the positive pole to No. 10 and the negative pole to No. 11. Connect an ammeter to terminals No. 8 and No. 9. Connect three-phase power supply to terminals A, B, C, and N separately.

  4. Manual Adjustment: After confirming correct wiring, turn on the power and check if the control box is set to "manual." If not, switch to the "manual" state. Use the handwheel to open the electric butterfly valve to approximately 50% opening. Press the valve open button, observing the correct direction of operation. The control box has the function of active logic correction of the power phase sequence if needed.

Operation Process:

  1. Active Logic Correction: If the valve operates in the wrong direction, allow it to reach fully closed or fully open position. The control box will automatically verify the power phase sequence for 3 seconds and correct it. This function is primarily used during the debugging process.

  2. Active Operation: Connect the external control input signal, set the control box to "active," and adjust the input signal. The electric butterfly valve should actively operate according to changes in the input signal, marking the completion of equipment debugging.

  3. Emergency Stop: During open or closed operations, pressing the stop button halts the electric equipment at its current position. Press this button to silence any alarms when the equipment is stopped.

  4. Safety Measures: Each control box power distribution should be equipped with an air switch for added safety.

  5. Control Circuit Variations: Note that control circuits may differ among manufacturers. In this control box, different combinations of terminal wiring can be accommodated, providing flexibility for various setups.

By following these steps, the installation and operation of the electric butterfly valve control box can be efficiently carried out, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
