A DN50 Strainer, also known as a DN50 filter, is a specialized device designed for fluid systems to prevent the passage of solid particles and debris. It is characterized by its nominal diameter (DN) of 50 millimeters, which is roughly equivalent to 2 inches. The strainer operates by forcing fluid to flow through a fine mesh or perforated plate, known as the straining element, which contains very small holes. DN50 Strainer ensures that only clean, particle-free fluid continues to flow through the system, thereby protecting downstream equipment and processes from damage and maintaining fluid quality.
