A DN1500 Gate Valve is a type of valve designed to control fluid flow by lifting a barrier, or gate, out of the fluid path. Specifically, the DN1500 indicates its nominal diameter, which is typically 1500 millimeters, roughly equivalent to 60 inches. These valves are renowned for their minimal space requirement along the pipe axis and minimal restriction to fluid flow when fully open.
